So this is the little parcel that I sent on its way just before Christmas...
A pair of shorts each for Ellie and Angus; Ellie's from this gorgeous Alexander Henry "tsuyiko" owl fabric and Angus's from Michael Miller's "Surf's Up". Both are cut from the indigo hemp denim, a really lovely fabric.
A little black tshirt for Angus with one of my favourite fish fabrics appliqued on the front.
A baby doll dress for Ellie, the bodice cut from Japanese Cosmos "cherry tree" and the skirt frill from Amy Butler's Lotus. Two really gorgeous fabrics whose tones work beautifully together.
And I packaged it all in this little bag that I whipped up for Kris to keep small knitting projects in. I really love the Michael Miller K1K2 fabric I used in the inner. I covered a button in the same fabric to finish it off. The ieda for this comes from a terrific sewing book Bend the Rules written by inspiring blogger Amy Karol of Angry Chicken fame.
Oh how gorgeous! I wish I had more time to go in these trades! Might have to make a resolution about that :).
