Oriental Lily knit in The Wool Company's Utiki Multi Colours
Size 2 shown on a slim 2.5 year old.
A simple seamless knit easy enough for the beginner.
Designed as a stash buster knit, ideally suited to variegated yarn, this dress can be made with as little as 200grams of DK weight yarn and half a ball of contrasting scraps.
Inspired by the kimono/ballet style knits and my love of Japanese. This little dress has a lovely fake obi sash, crossover bodice, flared sleeves and a lovely elongated skirt.
PLEASE NOTE: the download will supply two pdfs:
one for the original smaller sizes (Newborn to size 2) and
one for the bigger sizes (big sis version 3 - 10).
As with all my patterns, I strongly advise choosing sizing based on chest measurement rather than age.download now

knit in Malabrigo Worsted
This is a simple little scarfette that makes the perfect quick last minute gift knit. It can be easily knit in a day. You can wear it plain or dress it up with a brooch, your favourite badge or a big button. Dressy or casual enough for any occasion and small enough to be tucked away in a handbag.
This little scarfette was inspired by the wonderful and very popular Fetching mitts and is published with the permission of the very lovely and talented Cheryl Niamath. This little scarf was originally conceived as part of a matching gift set for my wonderful midwife, Paula.
A skein of Malabrigo Merino Worsted is just enough to create the mitts and the scarfette to match.download now

Knit in Pear Tree Supersoft yarn.
This delicate dk weight lace scarf features a reversible lace pattern based on stocking stitch, rather than garter stitch. This makes this scarf reversible, something uncommon in lace scarves.
While the scarf is not exactly indentical on both sides, the mix of stocking and reverse stocking stitch mirror each other nicely enough so that there is no wrong side to this scarf.
This scarf is named for the place my husband proposed, just over 12 years ago in a crater of a volcano, Mt Buninyong. The yarn used to knit the first prototype was yarn he gifted to me for our seventh wedding anniversary; traditionally supposed to be a woollen gift. ♥♥♥
While the scarf uses basic increasing and decreasing to create the lace pattern, it does require concentration and knit and purl stitches are worked on both sides.
